Taiwo Hassanat Akinwande, whose stage name is Yetunde Wunmi is one of the most respected, and notable Yoruba actresses in the Nollywood. She was born in 22nd of February, 1960 (about 60years of age) in Ilaro, Ogun State, Nigeria into the family of Mr. Surakat Akinwande and Mrs. Olufunke Sabainat, but it was reported by a credible source that Yetunde Wunmi grew up in Egbado and Ibadan, Oyo State together with her parents. In her teen years, She attended Ansar-ud-deen Primary School, Ilaro Ogun State as she was a practicing Muslim.

Furthermore, Yetunde Wunmi has spent more than three decades in acting as she actually joined a group owned by Sunday Akinola (who was also known as Mogaji Feyikogbon) under whom she became an apprentice in 1981. But later, she decided to move on then she joined Tate Alade Aromoire theatre group precisely in 1989.

When she started her acting career, she'd already gotten married. In fact, she had little kids then and her husband doggedly and vehemently kicked against the career she had chosen for herself which she love dearly. She was on her way to board a Virgin Atlantic plane at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport when nemesis caught up with her.
