Who Still Remembers Stella Obasanjo, Nigeria's Classiest First Lady?




The late wife of Former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo cannot be forgotten so easily.




I make bold to say that late Mrs Obasanjo is by far the most elegant and classy first lady in the history of Nigeria.




Inspite of her small stature,she reached heights where even the giants could not reach.She was not just the regular First Lady who was a shadow of her husband, but she was also a force to reckon with as her deeds live on for her even though she is dead.


The first lady was a political activist and she joined the campaign against female genital mutilation and went on to support her own course.


The Late first lady was also an active supporter for women's liberation, youth as leaders of tomorrow and building a war-torn Nigeria.


Mr's Stella Obasanjo was not just shoved into wealth by her marriage to OBJ,





she came from a wealthy family and also studied abroad. The rub off of the wealth was so evident that Miss Obasanjo was seen hanging out with the rich and mighty like the most royal queen of England.




Unfortunately, the elegant, classiest and most beautiful first lady ever died in October the 23rd 2005, when she went to Spain for a liposuction few days to her 60th birthday. 


The death of Late Stella shook Nigerians as she was held in high esteem and the death was very unexpected especially by her husband




who said he didn't even know about the liposuction.

 Huge charges were pressed on the doctor who operated on her because she died as a result of his absolute carelessness,but the thing is that nothing ever brings back the dead.

QLate Mrs Stella Obasanjo, set a mile stone that other Nigerian First Lady's are yet to attain and for that she is honoured even in her death.

As widely expected, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) yesterday called off its almost six months-old strike after exhaustive deliberations during its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held at the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna, the Niger State capital.
