Fg Announces August 4 as the Resumption Date For Schools.
It has been quite some months that the ban on schools has been placed. The decision made by the Federal Government was made so as to curtail the spread of COVID19. It is not only the Educational sector that was affected by the ban, but some other sectors in the country were also affected.
And as we all know, the exit classes have been delayed with their exams as a result of the closure of schools. Recently, when the Federal Government announced the resumption date for schools, all students and teaches we're happy. However, the Federal Government later made a new decision and canceled that date for resumption that was earlier announced.
Since then, the resumption date has been a bone of contention between the Federal Government and the public. The teachers and students are eager to know the date for the assumption of schools.
However, today being Monday 27, 2020, the Director Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Education, Ben Bem Goong said that the Federal Government came to a conclusion after having a meeting with some stakeholders in the educational sector.
In their conclusion, they agreed that all terminal classes should resume schools after the Sallah break so that they could prepare for their exams before the commencement of their exams.
I am sure that we would have been eager to know the date of the resumption of schools. August 4, 2020, was announced as the resumption date of schools.
It was also disclosed that the Federal Government would have a meeting with some stakeholders of other Examination bodies e.g NABTEB, NECO, and NBAIS so as to decide on the commencement date of their examinations.
